The Recycling Confex Middle East, taking place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Dec. 5-6, will feature a program with sessions on metals, paper, plastic, end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) and electronic scrap.
The event’s organizers, Waste & Recycling Middle East magazine and the Recycling Today Media Group, describe the Confex as being “designed to provide comprehensive recycling market insight to industry professionals, waste management professionals, the government sector, environmentalists and other interested parties” in the Middle East region and beyond. The government of the Dubai Municipality is acting as a strategic partner to the event.
The Confex includes an exhibition area featuring several equipment companies. Networking functions also have been scheduled throughout the two days, including a Metals Networking Dinner the evening of Dec. 5, a networking lunch on Dec. 6 and a Paper and Plastics Networking Dinner the evening of Dec. 6.
The programming for the event is divided into commodity topics, with sessions on ferrous scrap, nonferrous scrap and ELVs Monday, Dec. 5. The topics of plastics recycling, electronic scrap and paper recycling will be covered Tuesday, Dec. 6.
The speaker roster features nearly a dozen executives of Middle Eastern recycling and basic materials companies. Several guest speakers also have been drawn from other parts of the world, including Europe, India, Hong Kong and South Africa.
