The of Grandville, Mich. City Council is expected to grant a rezoning request by Rapid Shred to allow it to move to a larger location in a different part of the city.
Scott Dennis, owner of the company, located in Grandville, Mich., says the council could decide as soon as April 26 on the company’s rezoning request.
According to Dennis, the company is seeing its business grow by between 40-50 percent from last year, and it has outlived its existing facility, which is roughly 12,000 square feet.
If the City Council grants the request Rapid Shred could break ground on the new location, which will be around 30,000 square feet, by June 1. The company hopes to be complete and fully operational at the new facility by the end of the year.
