Metso Veteran Starts New Company

Bill Tigner, former vice president and general manager of Metso Lindemann of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and most recently vice president of sales and marketing for Metso Texas Shredder, has launched US Shredder and Castings Group.

The company provides equipment, parts and service to the automobile and scrap shredding industry throughout North and Central America. US Shredder and Castings Group is headquartered in Brookhaven, Miss., with operations based in Mackinaw, Ill.

“We have assembled and continue to assemble some of the highest quality and efficient suppliers of equipment and technology in the industry today and brought them under one roof,” Tigner says.

The company’s mission, according to Tigner, is to offer “high-quality, state-of-the art technology, excellent service and extremely competitive pricing” to its customers. “The goal of US Shredder and every one of our suppliers is be the most efficiently operated organization in the industry and pass those savings to our customers,” he says.

Tigner adds, “I’ve had the fortunate opportunity to run some very good companies in the last 16 years of my career. The interesting thing about our new organization is the only thing new is our name. Everyone involved are successful industry veterans who now happen to share the same goal.”
