The equipment company Metso, based in Helsinki, Finland, has received the contract to supply a complete tissue machine for Fabrica De Papel San Francisco S.A. de C.V. in Mexicali, Mexico. Metso expects the new tissue production line to start production in the second quarter of 2013.
Metso is supplying a complete tissue machine equipped with headbox, Yankee cylinder, Yankee hood, sheet control, tail threading equipment, dust management system and reel.
The delivery is a repeat order from Fabrica De Papel San Francisco. The company presently operates two Metso tissue machines at its Mexicali facility: the first started up in 2006; the second in 2009.
The new tissue line will use 100 percent recycled fiber as raw material.
Fabrica De Papel San Francisco operates four tissue production lines and converting facilities in Mexico.
