The San Antonio office of Metso Metal Recycling says Andy Vargo has joined the company as its new technical services manager for the North American market.
Vargo has 25 years of experience in the metal recycling industry, according to Metso. “His vast experience includes scrap processing equipment from hands-on equipment installation, operation, diagnostics, repairs, rebuilds/upgrades and includes years of facility/yard operational management,” according to the company.
Metso describes Vargo as “well in tune to the day-to-day operational challenges for equipment and yard managers” and says he is “set to provide a high level of customer support for the complete Metso product line.”
The global equipment supplier also says Vargo has “developed successful equipment preventative maintenance plans and safety procedures as well.”
Mark Haire, head of Metso Metal Recycling Americas, says, “We are very fortunate to gain someone with Andy’s experience and his drive to lead our customer support on all our products. This addition to our team will bring us to a new level of support that our customers expect for the full line of Lindemann, N Series and Texas Shredder products.”
