Metso announces that it is supplying a coated cartonboard production line to China-based Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing Co. Ltd. for the company’s Hongmei mill in Guangdong province, China. The new line is expected to start up at the end of next year.
A press release announcing the sale notes that Metso's delivery will include a complete white lined chipboard machine, from four-ply multi-Fourdrinier forming section to a winder, with related air systems.
This isn’t the first time Lee & Man has purchased equipment from Metso. The China-based paper company had earlier purchased paper machines from Metso for its Changshu and Hongmei facilities.
Last year, Lee & Man reported a combined annual paper production capacity of close to 4.5 million metric tons of paper and 300,000 metric tons of pulp.
