Metso Minerals will supply a metal recycling plant to GDE Group’s new scrap metal recycling yard in Limay, France. The delivery will be completed by the end of third quarter of next year. The value of the order is about EUR 8 million.
The order comprises a complete metal recycling plant equipped with a 6,000 hp shredder and also includes erection and commissioning services.
Metso says that when installed the plant will be the most powerful metal recycling plant in the continental Europe installed by Metso. When it reaches its nominal capacity, the site will produce 300,000 metric tons of ferrous products and 30,000 metric tons of non-ferrous products a year.
The GDE Group has more than 30 operating sites.
