Metso Recycling, with U.S. offices in San Antonio, Texas, will highlight its new TS Eco Cut scrap shear at the Expo Sucata exhibition in São Paulo. According to Metso, the scrap shear is versatile and fits small- to medium-capacity demands for an entry-level price.
Features of the shear include what Metso calls “a robust side compression system and an efficient hydraulic system that ensures optimized operation.” Metso says options like the 1-meter or 1.5-meter wide lid provide flexibility to adapt the shear to specific customer needs.
The company says it will market the new scrap shear in North and South America as well as the Asia Pacific region.
“Based on our extensive experience in metal recycling, the new TS Eco Cut is our answer to the market demand for a robust and economical scrap shear,” says John Guerry, VP of Metso Texas Shredder (Metso TS). “It provides great flexibility and a fast return on investment. Literally speaking, the TS Eco Cut cuts costs while cutting scrap. This is why we are confident in this concept.”
In a news release, the company says the side compression system with over-stroke ensures efficient pre-compaction in preparation for cutting. The 1,000-ton shear force has enough reserve to cut heavier scrap as well, and a choice of two different lid sizes can optimize the TS Eco Cut shear to meet customer requirements.
The TS EcoCut is part of the new Eco Line from Metso Recycling.
