Metso Changes Name

Company also announced a number of personnel changes.

Metso Minerals Metal Recycling, North America, based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa has announced that it is changing its name to Metso Lindemann. The parent company, Metso Lindemann located in Dusseldorf, Germany and owned by Metso Minerals, Finland is integrating its engineering resources with the U.S. organization to support the company’s ever expanding business in the North American marketplace.

Bill Tigner, vice President and general manager of North American operations, explained the name change. “Throughout the world, generations of serious scrap metal recyclers have always known and respected the Lindemann name as the standard of the industry for reliability and performance.  Today, Metso Lindemann is the only company in the world that designs, manufactures and services shears, balers and shredders, and enjoys the world’s largest installed customer base of these products.

Due to Metso Minerals Metal Recycling’s successful sales of Lindemann products to the North American marketplace, we are combining resources to bring our North American customers not only the complete line of Lindemann products, but the full compliment of engineering capabilities and global application know-how.  As such, it’s only appropriate that we trade on the brand equity of the Lindemann name, along with the strength of our parent, Metso. These changes have also resulted in the addition of several new positions to our North American operations”.

Formerly with Texas Shredder, Mark Mullins has joined Metso Lindemann as Shredder Sales Manager. Mullins brings 23 years of experience to the company and will be stationed at Metso Lindemann’s new San Antonio, Texas office.

Michael Weber, Service Technician for shears, balers and shredders brings with him an extensive electrical background.  Weber will be based out of Metso Lindemann’s Cedar Rapids, Iowa office.

Jacob Allen has joined the company as a Design Engineer for Metso Lindemann’s North American shredder division.  He will be located in the Cedar Rapids engineering office.

Amy Cummings, Administrative Support, has joined the company working in Metso Lindemann’s Cedar Rapids office.

Rick Cartee, Aftermarket Sales Representative, previously with Riverside Products, will be supporting Metso Lindemann’s casting sales.  He will work out of Metso Lindemann’s Davenport, Iowa office. Metso Lindemann claims that for shredders, rotors, hammers, spider caps, grates and liners, they are the world’s largest supplier of manganese parts, casted in their own foundries, with parts strategically located throughout North America.
