Businesses in the Portland, Ore., Metro area are being asked to participate in a survey that the agency hopes will help boost the recycling levels from businesses in the Metro area. The online survey is found at www.RecycleAtWork.com. The survey will help shape a campaign to encourage more business recycling, scheduled for fall 2006.
Deadline for the survey is July 10, 2006.
Many businesses already recycle, but businesses continue to contribute to half of all landfill waste in the Portland Metro area. Business support is needed to help the region achieve to its 64 percent waste-recovery goal by 2009, an increase of 5 percentage points above the current recovery rate of 59 percent.
