Metech International, Mapleville, R.I., has been acquired by Delaware-based MTI Corp., and will consolidate its recycling processes at its Gilroy, Calif., plant.
In a news release, the acquiring company says Metech will “maintain a strong East Coast presence,” but will “consolidate all precious metals services to its facility in Gilroy, Calif.” Additionally, the company “will continue to operate under its existing name providing customers across the country with precious metals recovery and comprehensive electronics recycling services.”
The president of MTI Corp. says the acquired company has room to grow, including via acquisition. “Metech has the potential to become the leading e-waste recycling, asset management, and precious metals recovery company in the United States,” says Sam Advani, president of MTI Corp.
“Metech is uniquely positioned in the marketplace to deliver one-stop services to multinational corporations,” adds Advani. “Our growth plan includes the acquisition of other recyclers to create one of the largest and most diverse recycling companies in the United States.”
