Hartner Engineering of Baechingen, Germany, has entered a licensing agreement with MetalTech Systems of Pawleys Island, S.C., through which MetalTech Systems will market, manufacture and provide technical support in the United States for Hartner’s Ball-Sort Ballistic Separator and the Bagstor Automatic Bag Opener.
According to the companies, the Ballistic Separator targets the efficient separation of fiber and film products from rigid containers, while the separator is a lower operating and capital cost alternative to more traditional disc screen technology.

Hartner says the Automatic Bag Opener is being introduced in response to growing demand to convert MSW (municipal solid waste) to energy. The Automatic Bag Opener is designed to efficiently and safely liberate material from the bagged waste.
Hartner Engineering supplies recycling solutions for the European and Asian markets. MetalTech Systems markets, manufactures and installs recycling systems and equipment throughout North America. The equipment will be manufactured in South Carolina to U.S. standards using locally available components and materials. More information is available at www.metaltechsystems.com.
