C&L Associated Inc., Paramus, N.J., has promoted Athena Liu and Faye Teng to fill the position of chief metals trader. That position was previously held by Robin Cai, who left the firm to join Alter Trading.
Liu is a native of Maryland and graduate of the University of Maryland who joined C&L in 1999. She has served in logistics, trading assistance and regulatory affairs positions with the firm. In those positions she has become familiar with scrap metal exporting from the United States to East Asia. Additionally, she speaks English as her first language and Chinese fluently.
Teng worked for five years in scrap metal exporting with C&L in the 1990s before taking a 9-year hiatus to raise her child. She holds a master’s degree in business from the University of Alaska and has traveled extensively in China for business.
