Management Science Associates relaunched the two sites as live, on-line operations that are able to conduct business. Metals Supply Alliances, LLC, a subsidiary of MSA, purchased the intellectual and proprietary assets of the former sites, including the names.
After the former site closed this past June MSA took the time to review suggestions on ways to improve the site.
According to Patrick Gallagher, president of MSA MetalSite, factors helping the new venture succeed in the steel industry include MSA’s record of providing a level playing field for clients within highly competitive industries; success in developing supply-chain solutions used by both U.S. and foreign industries; analytical capabilities that turn date into knowledge; and domain knowledge and practical experience gained by working with most of the North American steel industry.
