The scrap metal recycling company Metalico, headquartered in Cranford, N.J., has announced that Kenneth Mueller, its senior vice president and COO, has resigned from his position with the company, effective Nov. 16, 2012.
In an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Metalico notes that Mueller, who joined the company in 2011, has been commuting from his residence in Arizona to Metalico’s facilities in Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio. Mueller has indicated a desire to reduce his travel and to remain closer to his home, the company states.
Metalico also recently announced that Walter Barandiaran has resigned from the company’s board of directors to devote more time to the business of The Argentum Group, a private equity firm of which he is a founder and a managing partner. Barandiaran had served on the company's board since 2001.
