Metalico Inc., (www.metalico.com) headquartered in Cranford, N.J., has appointed Michael Drury as its chief operating officer. The company also has named Jeff Bauer vice president of operations for its Ohio Valley Region.
Drury has served as chief operating officer for Metalico's Platinum Group Metals and minor metals and lead fabricating segments since early 2011. He will take on added responsibilities for scrap metal recycling.
Drury also has been an executive vice president and director since Metalico’s founding in 1997. He will continue to be involved with acquisitions and investor relations, according to a news release from Metalico. He will work out of Metalico’s Cranford corporate offices.
Bauer has more than 30 years of experience within the industry, including the last seven as general manager of Metalico Akron Inc. (the former Annaco), based in Akron, Ohio.
Before joining Annaco, Bauer spent 25 years with OmniSource Corp. In his new post, Bauer will manage Metalico’s operations in northeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, including the company’s recent expansion into the Cleveland market. He will be based in Akron.
