Metalico Inc., headquartered in Cranford, N.J., has added three industry veterans to its staff to help the company guide its future internal development and overall expansion.
The company has hired Pete Meyers as vice president of ferrous sales and marketing and John Tiziani as vice president and chief analytics officer. Both will work primarily out of Metalico's Cranford headquarters. The company also has added Rick Rothfuss as general manager of Metalico’s new Buffalo, N.Y.-area shredding facility.
Meyers formerly managed ferrous scrap trading for the scrap metal brokerage firm ProTrade Steel Co. He has more than 20 years of experience in scrap trading, including stints at Tube City and the David J. Joseph Co. He also has supervised scrap transportation and coordination.
Tiziani previously served as vice president of finance and administration chief financial officer for the east coast divisions of Sims Metal Management. Tiziani will have responsibilities for financial, informational and reporting oversight at Metalico.
Rothfuss has been in the scrap metal recycling industry for more than 25 years and supervised shredder operations for Gerdau Ameristeel Corp.'s Buffalo Division. He will be responsible for the auto shredder Metalico is currently installing at the Buffalo-area location.
