Metal Management Installs Wendt Heavy Shredder

Wendt Corp., Tonawanda, N.Y., has announced that Metal Mangement Inc., headquartered in Chicago, has selected a Wendt Heavy shredder for its Newark, N.J., yard.

The installation will feature a Wendt 130 Heavy shredder with disc rotor and a custom infeed conveyor featuring a three-chain design, overhead bridge crane, control house, mill water-injection system and Auto Driver Control package. The shredder will be powered by a 9000-hp AC motor.
