Metal Management, Inc. announced that the Metal Management Aerospace operation in Hartford, CT has received a certificate of registration to ISO 9002/AS9000. The audit completed by PRI, an affiliate of SAE, and subsequent registration indicates Metal Management Aerospace operations are showing continuous improvement with systems performing on a consistently high level.

James Nathan, president, stated, “This certification will allow Metal Management Aerospace to build on it’s well established leadership position and assist us in reaching out to new aerospace and high tech companies, as well as to the high temperature alloy melters. We are excited to join the other Metal Management facilities in Chicago and Ohio with ISO 9002 certification.”
The Hartford aerospace facility covers 30 acres and includes over 185,000 square feet of manufacturing space. The company processes nickel, cobalt, titanium and other high tech alloys and is the number one recycler of aerospace turnings in the world.
