Metal Bulletin Events has announced that the Hotel Melia Serria in Barcelona, Spain, will serve as the venue for the Fourth Copper Recycling Conference set for June 17-19, 2015.
The conference, co-organized by American Metal Market Events and Industrial Mineral Events, also offers an option for a tour of the nearby La Farga copper production facility and museum.
Among the topics to be covered at the three-day event:
• trends in primary copper supply and prices and the impact on scrap values and availability;
• copper manufacturing activity globally and its effect on scrap supply;
• e-scrap generation, collection and processing;
• regulatory issues surrounding scrap recycling and shipping;
• innovations in pre-sorting, processing and melting of scrap; and
• trends in the melting of scrap for copper alloy products.
Metal Bulletin Events says people involved throughout the copper supply chain can benefit from attending the event, including scrap generators and processors; copper smelters, refiners and mills; ingot producers and alloy makers; traders; equipment and technology suppliers; and end users of copper products.
