
Atlanta-based Meridian Waste Solutions Inc. says its contract with the city of Florissant, Missouri, has been renewed through the spring of 2021. Meridian says it will continue to provide garbage and recycling pickup services to more than 17,500 homes in the city, which is a northern suburb of St. Louis.

Services to the city include once-a-week trash and once-a-week recycling residential pickup. Yard waste collection is available for an additional fee, and customers can select if they want the service year-round or for three months at a time, says the company. Meridian says it also will continue to provide service at no charge for the Valley of Flowers and Fall Festival events in Florissant.

The company operates a fleet of commercial, residential and roll-off trucks, plus four transfer stations, one recycling facility and three municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills.
