The plastics recycling company McDunnough Inc., Fenton, Mich., has hired Mike McDonald as director of sales and procurement. McDonald has more than 20 years of sales leadership experience with a range of companies, including General Motors and Johnson Controls. He most recently spent 10 years as global sales manager for Summit Polymers.
McDonald has significant experience in automotive interior plastics applications, including injection molding. He has worked extensively with the plastics markets in the automotive industry as well as with automotive OEMs and Tier One supplies.
“The trend over the last five years was to use more regrind,” McDonald says, “but over the last year there has been a ton of activity by automakers to use recycled resin.
“I see the demand [for recycled plastics] coming,” McDonald adds.
