Bob McCarty has been appointed general manager of the Springfield, Mo., scrap processing facility of Commercial Metals Co. (CMC).
McCarty has been with CMC since 1987, previously serving as office manager and operations manager. He is replacing Jim Vermillion, who is now serving as a CMC regional vice president.
The promotion was announced by CMC Secondary Metals Processing Division president Alan Postel.
Irving, Texas-based CMC’s Secondary Metals Processing Division is one of the nation’s largest ferrous and nonferrous scrap recycling companies, operating a network of more than 30 scrap recycling facilities.
