Programming in Place for Guangzhou Event

Recyclers from around the world and several Chinese officials fill out the speaker roster.

The Metallurgical Council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (MC-CCPIT) has announced the schedule and roster of speakers for its 4th China International Metal Recycling Conference. The event takes place May 12-14 in Guangzhou, China.

The event starts with a dinner on May 12, followed by a full day of presentations on May 13 and morning programming on May 14.

Among speakers drawn from the global scrap recycling industry are:
•    Christian Rubach of TSR Recycling, Germany;
•    Tsunefumi Nakatsuji of the Japan Iron & Steel Recycling Institute;
•    Il-Hwan Oh of the Korea Iron & Steel Association;
•    Robin Cai from the Hong Kong office of United States-based Alter Metal Recycling;
•    Scott Horne of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI);
•    Michael Kruppe of the Shanghai office of Germany’s Cronimet; and
•    Armando Valenzuela of Chilean consulting group Aluminum Prospecta Consultores.

Several other speakers will represent companies and government agencies in China, including:
•    Li Jing from China’s Department of Resource Conservation and Environment Protection;
•    Wang Zhenwu of the China Association of Metalscrap Utilization (CAMU);
•    Liu Jianmin of the China National Resources Recycling Association;
•    Zheng Yiyu of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd.;
•    Su Jiangang of Ma’anshan Iron & Steel Holding Co. Ltd.; and
•    Zhou Yingchun of Hubei Xingye Metallurgical Raw Materials Co. Ltd.
