MBM Corp., North Charleston, S.C., has added the 0101 HDP drive punc
h to its Destroyit line of business shredders. The company says that the 0101 HDP, while no larger than a standard centralized office shredder, provides effective drive destruction at an economical cost. At the push of a button, it punches a hole completely through the hard drive that is designed to render the drive unreadable. The punched drive then drops down into a sturdy storage bin to await proper disposal.
It can be used on standard size hard drives measuring 2.5 or 3.5 inches from personal computers, laptops, notebooks, printers, copiers, PDAs and cell phones. The punch also comes with Destroyit’s Safety Protection System package.
