Mayfran Introduces Briquetter

The new FastPac Briquetter from Mayfran International transforms typical household, commercial, and industrial waste products and by-products—material volumes that can quickly overflow designated storage areas—into dense, compact and recyclable briquettes that are more valuable and easier to handle. Typical waste includes paper and corrugated scrap, dust and sludge from filters (wet or dry), wood and sawdust, fibers, plastics, aluminum beverage cans and even agricultural and yard materials.

FastPac also reduces the need for large waste storage areas and helps users keep better track of waste volumes and weights while providing a cleaner, safer, more efficient work environment. FastPac’s dual-stage compacting process and dual-action compression/ejection cycle requires less horsepower, thus lowering energy consumption and operating costs.

In addition, the FastPac’s unique design results in a more compact, space-saving footprint of the machine. All briquetters are tested for extended periods at the factory prior to delivery and installation usually requires little more than an electrical connection.

FastPac Briquetting systems have very low energy consumption with capacity ranges to compact 110 lb. all the way up to 6,614 lb. ( 50 kg. to 3000 kg.)

The system provides a six to eight times reduction factor depending on the type of scrap.

Except for keeping its load hopper full (which can be automated) FastPac requires little attention. A screw drive feeds the waste or scrap materials from the hopper to the first compacting stage, a pre-charge chamber that helps assure constant waste volumes, so that maximum density will be achieved during the second, briquetting compression stage. The screw drive’s running time is programmed through and monitored by a PLC control unit. The running time can be modified to optimize pre-charge load, depending upon material types being processed.

A ramp at the machine discharge elevates finished briquettes to heights that will clear virtually any container or roll-off bin. Expensive equipment to elevate briquettes is not required.

In addition to the FastPac Briquetting Systems, Mayfran International designs and manufactures conveyors and processing systems for the recycling industry, servicing the pulp and paper industries, private and governmental waste-handling facilities and waste-to-energy facilities.
