Mayfran International, a Cleveland-based manufacturer of engineered factory automation systems, recently purchased Press Room Techniques of Lindsay, Ontario. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Press Room Techniques develops and manufacturers of a line of patented products that manage scrap in stamping operations. In addition to scrap, Press Room is able to handle pulp and other types of recyclables. A main beneficiary of the company is the flexibility it brings to the material handling side of the business. A main advantage of the Press Room Techniques’ conveyor systems has been its shuffle conveyor systems, which are expected to enhance Mayfran’s equipment. The system also is effective when competing against vibratory systems. Shuffle drives are very reliable, says Greg Strosaker, Mayfran’s VP - Product Management and Marketing.
