Maxitech.biz, a UK-based computer recycling business, has received ISO 14001 certification for its operations. The award recognizes the firm’s environmental program, commitment to sustainability and zero percent landfill policy.
Peter Paduh, the head of Maxitech, said, “I’m thrilled because the ISO 14001 recognizes the way we put green issues at the forefront of our agenda. When we take decisions in the boardroom we are concerned as much about their impacts on the environment as we are about profit.
As well as the ISO 14001, Maxitech was also awarded the ISO 9001, which is held by only three percent of UK businesses and recognizes investment in people, training, and high quality customer service.
Last month Maxitech won the cleanest and most environmentally friendly business at the Better Haringey Awards.
