The Department has announced public hearings at four locations across the Bay State on the following dates:

Monday, June 28, from 5-7 pm at the DEP Central Regional Office, 627 Main Street, Worcester

Tuesday, June 29, from 5-7 pm at the DEP Western Regional Office, 436 Dwight Street, 5th Floor, Springfield

Wednesday June 30, from 5:30-7:30 pm at the DEP Southeast Regional Office, 20 Riverside Drive, Lakeville

Thursday July 1, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the DEP Boston office, 1 Winter Street, Boston, in the Washington Street Conference Room, 2nd floor.
The disposal ban prohibits concrete, asphalt, brick, wood, OCC, and metals from being disposed of in Massachusetts landfills. Copies of the proposed regulations are available from the Department by contacting a regional service center, or they can be obtained from the Department web site at: http://www.mass.gov/dep/bwp/dswm/dswmpubs.htm#regs.
The DEP will accept written comments on the proposed amendments to the Solid Waste Regulations until 5 p.m. on Friday, July 16.
