The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection is seeking responses from bidders with demonstrated experience and qualifications to provide Operating Services for the Springfield Materials Recycling Facility.
The Facility, owned by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Commonwealth) and located in Springfield, Massachusetts, is a 225-ton per day recycling facility that accepts Recyclable Materials from over 90 communities in western Massachusetts.
The Commonwealth has contracted with private entities to operate the Facility since 1989 when it was built. The current Operating Services contract expires March 31, 2005.
