The Massachusetts Export Center of the Small Business Development Center Network and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection will be holding a conference to look at improving the export of recyclables.
The program, called International Market Opportunities in the Recycling Industry, will be held April 14th in Foxboro, Mass.
Because significant amounts of recyclables are shipped offshore, greater attention is being devoted as to how to improve the export of recyclables. The program will include topics of interest for people involved in the recycling and reuse industry in many of the recycling industries, including paper, metals, plastics and tires.
Representatives from state and federal agencies will be available to provide guidance on international regulations, and present an overview of services available for developing a successful overseas marketing strategy.
Guest speakers at the one-day meeting will include the following:
• Robin Ingenthron, President — American Retroworks, Inc.
• Dan Kraft, President and COO — International Forest Products Corp.
• Stephen Long, Recycling Markets Planner — Mass. Department of Environmental Protection
Registration forms for the conference are available at www.mass.gov/export.
