Mascus Expands to Benelux Region

Used machinery company expands further in Europe.

Mascus (www.mascus.com) the Pan-European electronic marketplace for heavy used machinery and transportation vehicles, has signed a license agreement with the Dutch company Via Via BV, to open another Mascus office in Europe.

Mascus Director Fredrik Larsson says that by having its own offices in Europe, Mascus can “deliver extra custom made services to our clients and be more responsive to their needs.”

Mascus has placed more than 30,000 pieces of used transport vehicles, construction, agriculture, forest and grounds care machines and forklifts through its Web site. Additionally, the company has signed nine cooperation agreements with different partners in 16 European countries, strengthening its positions in Scandinavia, Central, South Eastern Europe, UK, Baltic and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries.

"Belgium, Dutch and Luxembourgian dealers will definitely benefit from Mascus presence in Europe. Along with having [their] own language version of the Web site—www.mascus.be, www.mascus.nl and www.mascus.lu--dealers from the region will be able to strengthen their export channels and reach a variety of buyers from across Europe, where Mascus is well known and established as one of the biggest online marketplaces for heavy equipment and transport vehicles,” says Frank Kuvel, country manager for the Benelux region.

Via Via BV will be responsible for local marketing and sales in the Benelux region.
