The Maryland Recyclers Coalition will hold its 15th Annual Conference, Training and Exposition on Wednesday - Friday, May 28-30, 2003 at the Community College of Baltimore County, Catonsville Campus in Catonsville, MD. Over the three days of the conference, recycling professionals are expected to meet to discuss current trends and the future of recycling. The theme of this year's conference is Refresh, Renew, Recycle. There are a variety of technical sessions at the conference, including:
A special, half-day session on designed for college recyclers;
a keynote presentation by David Kirkpatrick of Sustainable Job Fund on venture capital programs for recycling;
A debate on zero waste;
Concurrent sessions on future processing, funding recycling, small businesses, electronics and selling your program;
A tour of The Loading Dock, a distributor of reusable building materials; and
The closing session - The Future of Recycling
Other highlights of the conference include the annual awards ceremony, a silent auction on valuable items and services and an exhibit area highlighting public and private recycling leaders in Maryland.
