Marpan Recycling is set to hold a grand opening for its first processing facility. The company, which has been involved in hauling of demolition material, as well as dumpster rentals and transporting lighting fixtures, will be opening its first construction & demolition processing facility in Tallahassee, Fla., May 29th.
The 17-acre facility is a Class III processing facility, and is permitted to handle 500 tons per day of material. There will be around 24 employees working at the new facility.
In addition to taking in C&D material, both from the company’s own hauling division, as well as other haulers, the company also will be accepting white goods and a host of other recyclables from the general public. The company will not be taking in any putrescent material, said Nancy Paul, the facility’s GM.
Equipment to be used at the site include equipment from Sherbrooke, as well as Morbark grinders to handle wood waste delivered to the site.
The project has been in development for around five years.
