Marathon Introduces GreenBuilt Compactor

Marathon Equipment Co., Vernon, Ala., has developed the GreenBuilt RJ-250SC self-contained compactor.

The compactor boasts reduced energy consumption and noise pollution and features a five-horsepower variable displacement power unit, biodegradable oil and cushioned ground rollers. The submerged power unit reduces the potential for fluid leakage and decreases noise during operation, according to Marathon. And the cushioned ground rollers also reduce noise during pickup and drop-off and lessens stress on the pad, which helps to extend its lifespan, Marathon says in a press release.
