ACM Waste Management Plc, based in the UK, announced that it has become the exclusive partner and sole distributor of Marathone Equipment in the United Kingdom and Ireland. ACM provides equipment for the waste management industry.
Marathon, part of the Dover Corp., is the world's number one manufacturer of waste handling and recycling equipment and has chosen Enfield based ACM to help increase its penetration into the European market and achieve its long-term goals in the region.
The partnership represents the culmination of over 10 years of unprecedented growth by ACM and underpins its status as the country's leading provider of complete waste management solutions.
"Being chosen to partner Marathon in the UK and Ireland is fantastic news for ACM," said Barry Bolton, ACM chairman. "They can supply equipment to cover 80 percent of our business areas and as the world's leading manufacturer of waste handling and recycling equipment they are the ideal partner to support our strategy for growth."
The partnership is an equally important development for Marathon. One of the organisation's main objectives is to break into the European market. The deal with ACM will mean that Marathon products will be proactively promoted - initially in the UK and Ireland before being rolled out across the whole of Europe.
Gordon Shaw, Marathon's president added: "It is one of our key goals to increase our penetration into the European market so when we were looking for a partner to help us achieve this ACM was our best choice. The deal will initially centre on the UK and Ireland before being extended across the whole of Europe."
The Marathon products will complement ACM's existing range of high-tech compaction machinery and recycling systems, which are supplied by some of Europe's leading manufacturers. Process & Control Today
