Marathon Appoints New Regional Sales Manager

Marathon Equipment Co., Vernon, Ala., has announced that Gary Braswell has accepted the position of regional sales manager with the company.

Braswell is responsible for field support, which includes recommending equipment, product training and technical support for the Marathon Ramjet line of compactors and vertical balers in South Carolina, northern Georgia, eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina.

“We are pleased to have Gary on board,” Southeast District Sales Manager Jim Wamble says. “His extensive knowledge of the waste industry, coupled with his in-depth understanding of equipment applications gives us a dynamic presence in a growth market.”

Braswell has managed sales for more than 15 years, seven of which were in the waste industry and involved selling self-contained and stationary compactors to the solid waste and recycling markets.

“My equipment experience over the past seven years, coupled with my commitment to sell only the best and most dependable product available, led me to recommend Marathon products to my customers,” Braswell says. “Marathon Equipment is a company customers depend on to build a quality product, support them before and after the sale and provide reliable service.”

Braswell and his family will be relocating to the metro-Atlanta area.
