Magnum D'Or Resources, Inc., a company involved in the tire recycling industry, announced that the city and county of Denver, Co., has agreed to be one of the company’s tire sources and disposal clients for its Hudson monofill.
The city and county, as of Dec. 14, 2009, have already disposed of 15,000 lbs of waste tires and will work with Magnum USA to clean up illegal tire dumps, tire ditches, and scrap tires throughout the Denver area.
Larry Hogan, Magnum’s senior plant manager, said "It is nice to know that the largest city and county in the region wants to take their tires to a place that guarantees they will be recycled using the latest and greatest technologies. We here at the Magnum Hudson site, welcome all of the regional and local governments to come see our operations and understand how we can help clean up their locations while knowing the tires they are delivering will become 100 percent new end-user products."
Magnum USA plans on making the Hudson site a high tech rubber recycling model and will use its closed loop recycling solutions approach.
Magnum is currently processing received and stockpiled tires by shredding them into chips (1 to 2 inch nuggets) in order to stockpile feedstock for our next phases which will be the production of fine rubber powders. The chips will ultimately eliminate 100 percent of the scrap tires being taken in and recycling all of the rubber, steel, and nylon cord content from all raw materials.
