Magnatech, Tonganoxie, Kan., has introduced the LongRun Shredder Support Program (SSP), a preventive maintenance program that incorporates periodic inspections, performance analysis, enhanced parts availability and a rotor exchange feature designed to help customers avoid breakdowns and keep their scrap yards running.
The program tracks nearly a dozen shredder performance parameters, according to Magnatech, and is designed to improve scrap yard efficiency by anticipating and avoiding problems and by offering quicker and more comprehensive support to avoid prolonged downtime.
“Knowing that any piece of equipment is only as good as its maintenance, we’re very pleased to offer our customers a new way to keep the biggest investment in their scrap yard running smoothly and predictably,” says Michael Graveman, Magnatech president. “So, to complement the reliability of our LongRun shredders, our new LongRun Shredder Support Program helps eliminate risk and uncertainty for scrap yard operators by providing the peace of mind that their shredder, the heart of their operation, is working properly,” he adds.
The Magnatech LongRun SSP is available for new and used shredder systems.
