Macon Iron & Paper Stock Co. and SP Recycling Corp., along with assistance from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs will hold a one-day workshop for residents in the middle Georgia area. The goal of the event is to increase recovery through effective partnerships by providing communities the opportunity to start new recycling programs and enhance existing programs.
The workshop will be held Feb. 20th. Representatives 32 counties in the Middle Georgia region will convene at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame to learn more about the Single Stream Recycling option.
The newly established Macon Iron/Middle Georgia recycling hub enhances the State’s recently launched recycling initiative designed to promote the development of single stream recycling collection centers within 50 miles of every community in Georgia.
