Material recovery facility (MRF) systems supplier Machinex, headquartered in Plessisville, Quebec, has opened an office in Phoenix designed to reinforce its presence on the West Coast by increasing customer support and service in the area, where it has been awarded multiple major projects.

The company says it has seen significant growth in the number of existing and future projects on the West Coast, making it a good time to invest in a stronger regional presence. Machinex has two sizeable projects it is installing in Phoenix, including a 30-ton-per-hour residential single-stream system for the city.

Additionally, the company is recruiting new team members in various positions including, but not limited to, sales, engineering, project management, electrical and automation, millwrights and administration.

“Machinex takes pride in our team of employees and making sure that our customers experience results with both equipment and the services we provide,” says Chris Hawn, CEO at Machinex Technologies Inc., the company’s North Carolina-based U.S. division. “Growth definitely comes with its challenges, but we are up to the task and look forward to the next step in our voyage towards improving our position in waste and recycling markets.”

Machinex will exhibit during WasteExpo, May 9-12 in Las Vegas, at booth 1405, where visitors will experience an immersive virtual MRF visit. A full system walk-through will take visitors on a journey toward modern MRF design while providing details about the integrated sorting equipment, according to the company.
