The recycling equipment manufacturer Machinex Group, headquartered in Plessisville, Quebec, has launched an interactive tool in advance of the WasteExpo 2014, which will be April 29 to May 1 in Atlanta. The new interactive video features Machinex’s line of equipment. The equipment company will showcase the video at its booth, No. 3962, during WasteExpo.
The new video is based on Rumpke Cincinnati’s new material recovery facility (MRF), which has been in operation since October 2013. The video starts with a 3D layout of the MRF system. The video offers two options for the viewer: a guided tour and a self-guided tour. The guided tour is a continuous video following the path of the incoming material from the tipping floor to the balers. The self-guided tour has all of the equipment in the facility numbered with captions, photos and videos, giving visitors/viewers the ability to explore the system at their own pace, explains Machinex.
Rumpke Cincinnati's MRF includes most of the modern sorting technologies and equipment offered by Machinex, making it the best example of an operation for the video, according to the company.
“Since WasteExpo 2013, Machinex acquired an interactive table that is a fabulous tool to demonstrate our know-how to our visitors,” says Karine Moreau, marketing manager at Machinex Group. “Since bringing a sorting system into our booth is impossible, the video of a material recovery facility remains one of our best sales arguments.”
In addition to being shown at Machinex’s booth at WasteExpo, the video can be accessed by visiting www.machinexrecycling.com/map/english.html.
Machinex says that since the 1980s it has designed and installed more than 275 turnkey facilities in partnership with leading MRFs in Canada, the United States and Europe.
