Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. (AERT), based in Springdale, Ark., has announced that its Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek recently received the Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse Vendor of the Year Award for Lumber during the 2005 Lowe's Vendor Meeting held recently in Orlando.
AERT is the sole manufacturer of Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek Premium composite decking, which is sold throughout the United States exclusively through Lowe's 1,176 home improvement stores.
AERT converts reclaimed plastic and wood fiber waste into Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek outdoor decking systems, MoistureShield door and window components, MoistureShield CornerLoc exterior trim and fascia components and MoistureShield outdoor decking. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Springdale, Lowell and Tontitown, Ark.; Junction, Texas; and Alexandria, La.
