Jen-Re Plastics, a plastics recycling plant located in Marksville, La., burned to the ground earlier this week. According to local newspaper reports, the fire, which began Wednesday afternoon (June 12), lasted well through most of that day. Press reports said there were no injuries. The fire, which shut down traffic around the site of the blaze, was reopened late that same day. However, the facility itself was destroyed by the fire.
The facility had been in operation for more than a dozen years. The material inside the plant was not toxic. Town-Talk (Louisiana) Online.Get curated news on YOUR industry.
