L’Oréal has joined Nextloopp Americas as its first brand owner for the consortium’s food-grade recycled polypropylene (rPP) project.
The collaboration builds on an existing partnership as L’Oréal joined Nextloopp’s U.K.-based initiative in 2022.
“We are delighted to welcome L’Oréal as the first brand owner to join Nextloopp Americas,” Nextloopp President Edward Kosior says. “Having worked closely together in Europe since 2022, extending this collaboration to the Americas is a natural next step as we scale our proven model globally.”
NextLoopp Americas, a global project by London-based Nextek Ltd., recently was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its food-grade rPP process.
“L’Oréal’s participation provides a bridge between the European and American programs,” says Marcio Amazonas, Nextloopp Americas vice president. “It strengthens cross-market collaboration, accelerates knowledge transfer and shows how circular packaging can work at scale across continents.”
