LME Offers Metals Trading Workshop

July 12 event reviews LME trading and warehousing procedures.

A one-day workshop being offered by the London Metal Exchange (LME) is being billed by the organization as “comprehensive course to enhance [an attendee’s] knowledge of the physical trading of metals and warehousing.”

The course, entitled “Introduction to Physical Trading and Warehousing,” is being offered July 12 at the LME office on Leadenhall Street in London.

According to the LME, the course “will use practical examples, case studies and workshops to provide an insight into the various steps of trading, including defining a physical contract, shipping and warehousing, types of documentation, final payment, claims and settlements.

Targeted attendees for the July 12 event, which costs £500 ($990) plus VAT, include individuals involved in trading, supply chain, banking, shipping, warehousing and back office functions.

Fees include all course materials, lunch and refreshments, according to the LME. More details for the course and registration options can be found at the LME Web site at this link or by e-mailing lme.education@lme.com or by calling +44 (0) 20 7264 5555.
