LJP Waste Solutions, a provider of waste hauling and processing services in Mankato, Minnesota, announced July 1 that it has acquired Jendro Sanitation.
Based in Charles City, Iowa, Jendro Sanitation provides waste and recycling collection services to commercial and residential customers in several counties in northeast Iowa.
According to LJP, the acquisition will allow the company to expand its service footprint to a new geographical service area. The Jendro Sanitation team of 23 employees will join the LJP team of 110 existing employees as part of the acquisition.
The news comes on the heels of LJP announcing on June 24 it had acquired The Trash Man, a provider of commercial and residential waste services in north-central Iowa.
“Jendro Sanitation has provided outstanding waste and recycling collection services to the communities and customers in northeast Iowa for close to 40 years,” Steve Metz, CEO of LJP, says. “Jendro represents the second acquisition we have completed in Iowa in as many weeks. We continue to seek strategic add-ons for LJP which will complement our existing platform and provide new areas for organic growth and tuck-in acquisitions.”
LJP Waste Solutions is a portfolio company of New York-based Aperion Management. Funding for the Jendro Sanitation acquisition was provided by Dallas-based Comerica Bank.
