Liquid Technology, a computer liquidation, recycling and data destruction company headquartered in Brooklyn, N.Y., has obtained ISO 14001 certification and was named an e-Stewards Enterprise. ISO 14001 is a voluntary certification requiring that an organization put in place and implement a series of practices and procedures that result in an environmental management system.
According to a news release, the company says it will meet the commitment by ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental legislation and regulations and by continuously improvung electronic scrap management practices and reducing consumption of natural resources.
“Liquid Technology has always been a proponent of green IT recycling that follows all EPA guidelines, so we are especially excited to now receive ISO 14001 certification and e-Stewards Enterprise recognition,” says Richard Greene, Liquid Technology managing partner. “We look forward to raising the levels of environmental awareness throughout our company and giving our customers an opportunity to use environmental friendly methods and sustainable resources for their IT asset disposal needs.”
