The Ohio EPA has announced new regulations that govern the disposal of fluorescent light bulbs.
The new rules tighten regulations on hazardous lamps, including fluorescent light bulbs containing mercury, according to a release from the Ohio EPA.
Lamp recyclers are now required to obtain a hazardous waste storage permit, and generators, owners or operators of hazardous lamp collection sites are subject to hazardous waste management standards.
