Liebherr Construction Equipment Co., Newport, News, Va., has announced it will participate and sponsor the upcoming 2009 Operators’ Precision Challenge.

The Operators’ Precision Challenge is a hands-on competition geared towards experienced heavy equipment operators and contractors that want to check out and demo the latest in construction equipment technology, according to a company press release.
Operators and contractors participating in this free event will also get the chance to test-drive one of Liebherr’s New Generation Tier III, R924 Compact Swing Excavator, the company says.
This excavator is equipped with a Liebherr patented quick coupler system “LIKUFIX.” This quick coupler is designed to allow the operator to change between different hydraulic tools without leaving the cab or requiring another worker to manually connect hydraulic hoses, the company says.
